UTS Faculty of Health Research: Communications Review and Strategy
Working closely with senior leaders from the Faculty of Health Research, including the Associate Dean of Research, this project aimed to address current internal and external communications challenges within the Faculty and the university.
A number of workshops and engagement activities were conducted to help form a full picture of the current state and to inform the communications strategy and recommendations in line with Faculty goals and objectives.
The result was a strategic and meaningful communications strategy that identified key target audience groups, channels and tactics to drive visibility and impact.
An actionable and sustainable communications plan was designed and implemented and included key messaging workshops and development, content reviews and copywriting, collateral production, including an annual report, video production and the establishment of a Faculty podcast - Healthy Body, Healthy Mind.

Women's Wellness Research Collaborative: Communications Strategy and Implementation
The Women's Wellness Research Collaborative (WWRC) is an international collaboration of researchers, health practitioners, educators, universities and research institutions dedicated to supporting the advancement of women's health.
As part of the WWRC program, some of the research has been translated into a number of evidence-based wellness programs to address specific health-needs for women, particularly after cancer and for those with Type 2 Diabetes.
I have had the privilege of working with the WWRC for the past 5 years, driving visibility of their programs and increasing engagement with global collaborators.
We have achieved great things and put the Women's Wellness programs on the map; bringing together an inspirational network of researchers that regularly share ideas and collaborate on research projects, designing an engaging website and collateral to share stories and information about the Collaborative's various women's wellness programs, launching a women's wellness podcast to give listeners an insight into what they'll get out of the programs and implementing ongoing communications practices to keep the Collaborative alive.

UTS Faculty of Health podcast: Talking Health
In response to a desire to reduce written email communication to team members within the Faculty of Health at UTS, I worked with the Dean of Health to develop and deliver a monthly podcast called Talking Health.
I have collaborated with academics from across the university to help share their unique stories of impact.
This podcast has been well received within the Faculty, UTS and the broader community and gives an insight into the people behind the incredible health research undertaken at UTS.

National Care Workforce Alliance: Media Relations
The National Care Workforce Alliance (NaCWA) is an industry-first collaboration between researchers and care providers to find practical solutions to the care workforce crisis.
ACU led the formation of NaCWA in 2023 to tackle care sector workforce issues such as recruitment and retention, onboarding complexity, and unclear career pathways within the care sector.
As the external relations lead on this exciting project, I have been working with the alliance team members, including Professor Laurie Buys from ACU, to develop a robust media relations strategy for the newly established collaborative, including proactive media relations, press-pairing and thought leadership.

INSIGHT - UTS Health Research Institute: Internal Communications Strategy and Engagement
The UTS Health Research Institute for Innovative Solutions for Well-being and Health (INSIGHT) is a new Institute for UTS and the vision of Professor Debra Anderson, the Dean of Health at UTS.
The Institute was officially launched in 2023 and is a convening space to bring together disciplinary experts across UTS and to engage with external partners to undertake meaningful, multi-disciplinary research that transforms health outcomes for communities.
Working closely with the Dean, I was responsible for engaging a number of stakeholders across the UTS business to develop a robust internal communications strategy for the Institute. As a newly-established Institute, bringing together a number of existing research centres and new collaboratives, this project required me to develop an understanding of INSIGHT’s business structure, research activities and strategic objectives to ensure the appropriate development of an insightful and meaningful communications strategy for the Institute.

UTS School of Pharmacy: Communications Strategy and Implementation
The UTS School of Pharmacy wanted to increase general awareness of the Master of Pharmacy program at UTS and promote a better understanding of the career pathways that might extend from the Masters program.
Working with the Head of School at the Graduate School of Health and the Head of Discipline for Pharmacy, I was responsible for the development of an internal and external communications strategy aimed to reach key audiences and address these primary objectives.
The strategy focused on unlocking the people and stories behind the Master of Pharmacy program at UTS and sharing insightful information relevant to prospective students and alumni.
As part of this strategy, I have been working with the team to implement social media, train and upskill staff on the use of socials and effective key messaging, reviewing and updating collateral and developing an annual School of Pharmacy magazine to highlight people and achievements.
